MEET CHEF TOMER MARKOVITZ

Tel Aviv born Chef Tomer Markovitz is celebrated for his ability to weave heritage and innovation into every plate. Influenced by the flavours of his childhood, and shaped by his North African, and Eastern European roots, Chef Markovitz's cuisine is both soulful and sophisticated.

 

After honing his craft in Tel Aviv’s vibrant kitchens, Chef Markovitz brought his artistry to Toronto, earning acclaim for his bold, signature creations — most notably his famed green falafel. In 2023, Chef Markovitz launched Romi’s Bakery, named after his daughter, as a celebration of his culinary vision.

 

His menus showcase elevated Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine that both honour tradition while embracing contemporary flair.
